Beverly Hills—Well, all I know
is just what I read in the papers.
With Mr. Coolidge writing for
the papers why we got a lot oi
new reading to do now.
the other day
that kinder , jar-

tit advised the
working man to
spend his money,
and buy every-
thing that he could possibly af-
ford, and in that way help out
the whole economic thing, so
that it would put more money
into circulation, and make more
jobs for those that had none.
Now that is .absolutely going
against all the laws we have
been brought up to; we have al-
ways, been taught to save arid
put 'by every dollar that we could,
and not buy anything unless we
absolutely needed it. and to
spend no money for things that
we could do without. Now all
at once we are advised by every-
body to start spending, so it
will help somebody else. Imag-
ine telling the working man to
spend, that if he dont put his
money into circulation why he
wont have a job very long. That
is what Mr. Coolidge said. Now
ithat ,soun'd'spj so unlike him. Here
is a man that the whole basis
o: his popularity is based on his
economy and thrift, and all at
one? to help put a situation, why
he says '"Spend." So its hard
to tell what to believe- nowa-
days.

they go mighty peaceful and

Wj got an epidemic of crazy

your husband has got so it don't
land you on the front page. So,
they have traded their guns for
parachutes and are trying to
jump and land on it.
Its never a' real aviator that

know they were made to save

not to put on a show with. We
are all against having any more

Speaking of Prosperity, which
,about ail we are doing is speak-
ing of it why I read with great
interest recent!y the celebrating
of the ninety some ■ birthday of
:iur genial benefactor Mr. P.-ocke-l
'eller Sr., and it brought back:
many happy thoughts of my
meeting with him 'every winter
Alien I would play my little
'talkie dat*;=" at Daytona Beach,
Flarida. he would always come
■0 the Auditorium and bring all
:r.e people from his winter house-
hold, servants and all. The three
.'ears I did that, he was right
there and he would not miss a
■ingle "Gag." He was as keen
and alert as anyone in the aud-
ence. and was always well versed
on Topics, s on Oil Gravity. He
knew as much about the disarm-
ament Conference as he did what
the "Dutch Shell" were doing.
I always had a few local jokes
about him and would go dow:n
off the "Rostrum" and shake
hands with him. and he would
quietly ask me to come to his
home on the following morning
and have breakfast with him, at
eight o'clock. Then after a fine
breakfast when he would give
us all a dime each as he come
down in the morning, we would
go nearby to the Golf Course,
and he would play eight holes.
It took a pretty tough day that
kept him away. The reason for
the eight holes only was that
the eighth hole was over by a
back road where he could have
his car meet him, and do direct
from that hole. I dont play the
game. (Not even at three at
night for money.) But he made
lots of the holes in what you call
par. He was always straight
down the course, not so terribly
far, but ON IT.
The old fellow looks like he
is evtremely bappy and satisfied,
and I think feels that he has been
of some service to his Country
as well as to the passing motor-
ist. He has not only filled the
countrys tanks, but has filled
many a diseased man with hope
of a cure.

Six-Cylimler Truck:
iggor. Faster, Stu
and more economical
In size, speed and durability, the
Chevrolet Six-Cylinder Truck is
superior to any haulage unit ever
built by Chevrolet. Yet, for all
these decided advantages, it shows
(according to many prominent
fleet users) a lower maintenance
cost than any other low-priced
truck of similar capacity!
These basic facts should be
borne in mind by everyone con-
sidering the purchase of an in**'
pensive haulage unit—In these
days, when business men are
watching transportation costs.
Many important features of the
