the afternoon was spent with
different kinds of needle work
or the December bazaar. We
wish others would join us in the
second Wednesday of each month,
sewing day.

The National Education As-
sociation, in a resolution adopted
at Los Angeles, in July, re-af-
firmed its stand in favor of the
eighteenth •amendment and the
laws enacted thereunder. It urg-
es their vigorous and impartial
enforcement and pledges its sup-
port to an active educational
campaign in the schools in behalf
of habits of living for which the
eighteenth amendment stands.

The ministerial committee,
looking toward the coming re-
vival which begins next Sunday
iii the City Auditorium, with Rev.
Dr. James Ray burn dofhg the
preaching and his singer. Mr.
Cheek, give an urgent .invitation
to one and all to be present, to
take part in and receive a bless-
ing therefrom.
Under such circumstances the
writers of the Sacred Records
have given the race three areat
invitations and these are without
any thot of sect or creed, church
or earthly affiliation, and as
such these are repeated here. It
matters not who you are, of what
church, of whatever alignment,
I whether you are a member of a
church or have ever been, this
same invitation is to you.
Isiah in his day gave this in-
vitation: "Ho. every one that
thirsteth, come ye to the waters,
and he that hath no money, come
ye and buy and eat; yea come
buy wine and milk without money
and without price."
Jesus to his day: "Come unto
me all ye, that labor and are
heavy laden, and I will give you
rest. Take my yoke upon you
and learn of me; for I am meek
and lowly in heart, and ye shall
find rest unto your soul."
John in Revelations gave this
to his day: "And the Spirit and
the bride say come and let him
that heareth say come, and let
him that is athirst and whoso-
ever will let him take the water
of life freely."
If any of these fit you or in
any wise describe your needs
you are thus invited.
The Ministerial Committee.
