‘ROGUE COP’ AT THE LEON
SUNDAY AND MONDAY
“Rogue Cop," no punches-pull-
ed drama of a police detective
who accepts graft from racketers
only to find that easy money
doesn’t spell an easy life, gives
Robert Taylor the dynamite-
edged type of role he made me-
morable several years ago in a
picture titled “Johnny Eager."
Teh new M-G-M offering, co-
starring Janet Leigh, George
Raft, Steve Forrest and Anne
Francis on the Leon screen Sun-
day and Monday, opens with a
tense killing in a telephone booth
and closes with a gripping gun
battle, and there is never a mo-
ment ir. between in which the
action doesn’t hold the spectator
on the edge of his seat.
