the extra point failed.
The half ended with the
Bearcats leading 19-0.
Fumbles seemed to be the
weak point of the Indians. In
the third quarter, another
fumble was recovered. Bunt-
ing then took the ball the four
yards for the TD and the
score was 25-0. The kick for
the extra point failed.
The fourth quarter resem-
bled the first by being score-
less. The defense, led by Jim-
my Mahan, Neil Singleton,
Benny Bruton, Ronnie Robi-
son and Mickey Williams, did
a very good job of keeping
the Indians from making a
score.
Other outstanding players
were Billy Hamilton. Zack
Morris, Alan Barton. Ricky
Hardin and Tommy Willlama

The De Leon Bearcats put
their best foot forward and
really showed the Comanche
Indians how to play football
last Friday night in Coman-
che.
Comanche took the opening
kickoff. Both teams played
hard but the first quarter
ended scoreless.
Then the Bearcats decided
it was time to play ball. Ear-
ly in the second quarter, Her-
man Hardin intercepted a
pass and took it to the ten
yard line. Ronnie Robinson
then received the hand-off
from Hardin and went over
for the first TD of the night
Rocky Bunting kicked for
the extra point and De Leon
led 7 (1.
With four minutes till half,
the Bearcats recovered an In-
dian fumble. Rocky Bunting
then took the pigskin 12 yards
for the TD. Bunting’s kick
for extra point failed.
After the Indians received
the kick-off, they decided to
try passing. This was a good
idea for De Leon because
Rocky Bunting intercepted
and took it 25 yards down
field. Quarterback Herman
Hardin handed off to Boyd
Sharp, Who carried it the five
yards needed for the third
touchdown Bunting’s kick for
