ing the weiner roast, games of
’42 were played by the adults,
and the pupils enjoyed'themsel-
ves in the playground section of
the park.
Pictured above are Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Nelson of Dublin,
Texas. Mrs. Nelson is ^he former Miss Anita Purcell, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Purcell and Gordon is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. W. Nelson, all of Dublin. The ceremony
was June 20, at 8 o’clock inthe First Baptist Church in
Dublin with Dr. James Bradford officiating. Gordon is the
grandson of Mr. and Mrs- S. L. Nelson of De Leon and Mr.
> arid Mrs. R. D. Whatley of Gorman. Relatives and friends
attending the wedding from De Leon were: Mr, and Mrs.
Coy Nelson, Mrs. Herbert Whatley, Mrs. W. E. Beiyeu, Mrs.
L. L. Beiyeu, Mrs- Irene Shifflett, and Mrs. E. B. Gregory.
The couple are now at home in Jal, New Mexico, where
Nelson is employed with Delta Construction Company.
