Rev. J. D. Boles occupied the
pulpit at the Christian church

W. E. Newman, superintend-
ent of the court house work, is
back again after an absence of
several days. He came back to
look after the erection of the
stone arches that are to adorn
the south and north doors of the
court house.
The list of officers of the Thurs-
day Club, as published last week,
was a little mixed. Following is
a correct list: Mrs. McCarty,
president;* Mrs. Hask'ew, vice-
president; Mrs. Couch, secretary;
Miss Lola Lipscomb, critic; Mrs.
D. M. Oldham, teacher; Mrs. E,
W. Dickey, 'press reporter.
Postmaster W. A. Huntsman
was down from Swenson this
week, and while in the citv made
the Star office, a pleasant call,
Mr. Huntsman says that all the
material for the new bank has
arrive^ and work is going for-
ward on the building and he
thinks by March the first every-
thing will be in readiness for the
new bank to open.
