The program will be presented by Beverly West Hathaway of Abilene, Texas.
Mrs. Hathaway is a noted lecturer and professional genealogical researcher,
specializaing in the southern United States.
"Research Techniques in the State of Tennessee" will be the topic of the
program. Having been a major pathway of migration to the West, Tennessee is
an important area of research to the genealogist in tracing the movement of
many families. Research problems encountered in Tennessee are synonymous to
those occurring in most southern states. Mrs. Hathaway will emphasize
techniques that can be applied to Tennessee and to other areas of the South.

The Federal Records Center in Ft. Worth would like us as a Society to provide
them with a volunteer to assist at the Records. Center. They will train the
volunteer(s). They ned help in making copies, answering questions, finding
and replacing some microfilm and in general assisting those doing research.
For such volnteer THEY WILL RESERVE A READER. They would like this help by
8:00 A. M. (not later than 8:30) until 4:00. If you are willing to help in
this very worthwhile task, please completeand mail the form below to DGS,
