IVs a big price reduction, too I
Lowering the price of our popular 2% ton model of famous
Arkla Gas Air Conditioners comes at a time when homeowners
or buyers are thinking of summer cooling... .....
Owners of smaller homes are often tempted to buy cheaper,
noisy, but expensive-to-operate window units...or cheaper, but
expensive-to-operate electric add-ons to their central systems.
The 2% ton Arkla unit is not an add-on, and of course not
a window unit, but a central system that cools and heats every
room in the house... and costs less to operate!
Besides the 2% ton Arkla model, we also sell 3’/2, 4!45 and
6-1/3 ton models... No down payment... Take 5 years to pay!
If you’re building, or plan to this spring or summer, insist
that your builder get a firm estimate from us on the finest air
conditioning on the market.

The Board of Trustees of your School District have been petitioned to call an election for
Bonds to be issued, and the following information is furnished so that you will be properly
informed regarding this proposed program.
The Petition came from a study or survey evaluating the need of a building program to
come up to the educational requirements of the State Board of Education, so that we can
continue as one of the accredited school districts of the State. A Committee from the Texas
Education Agency visited our school a few months back and informed us that unless some
building and improvements were made, we would lose our accreditation.
The petition calls for voting $195,000 in Bonds, and present plans call for the construc-
tion of a Gymnasium and four Class Rooms, Science and Homemaking Departments at the
High School, and the construction of four Class Rooms and Visual Aid Room for our Ele-
mentary School. Included within the bond issue is the buying of essential equipment to keep
our school accredited, according to the standards set by the Texas Education Agency.
The total Tax Rate to be levied in the District will be $1.90 for each one hundred dollars
of Assessed Valuation. Our present valuation will support this program. THERE WILL BE
NO INCREASE IN ASSESSED VALUATION.
Tax Rates in nearby School Districts are as
Comanche I. S. D. $1.90
Gorman I. S. D. $2.00
Pottsville I. S. D. $2.00

Every person in the District who is 21 years of age or over, and has a 1964 Poll Tax (or proper
