Starts Aug. 16
The Preschool Burleson PTA
are finalizing plans for the 1982
Safety Town which will be
held at Mound' Elementary
Schol August 164$ (for 4-5-6 ,
year olds, -to.familiarize the
pre-schoolv6hiW-^w«4h the local
firemen, police ^nd ambulance
personnel.
Speakers from these organi-
zations will talk to the children,
I seeking to tak away some of
the feal usually associated with
them. McDonald’s will present,
a safety film as well as the
arrant County Safety Council.
Safety Town sessions will be
from 9:20 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Monday, Aug. 16 through Thur-
sday Aug. 19. Pre-registration
is requested but late registra-
tions will be accepted begin-
ning at 9 a.m., Aug. 16. There

Workshop.
The first general session was.
held August 4 at the Hyatt
Regency Hotel. The keynote
speaker was Jack Yianitsas,
president of Success Dynamics,
Houston, Texas.
Wednesday and Thursday the
teachers participated in area
meetings and' in-service educa-
tion workshops which included
cattle rustling and theft; farm
and ranch finance and credit;
