108Hi Edition Of
Circus Is On The
Way To Dallas
DALLAS, Texas—The gala ar-
rival of the 108th edition, of
Mingling Bros, and Barnum &
Bailey Circus, opening in Dal-
las Memorial, Auditorium at
7:30 p.m. Tuesday (July 3) will
be marked by a colorful ANI-
MAL WALK featuring the
( world's largest menagerie of
performing quadrupeds.
The 39-car silver Circue-liner,
the longest private train in ex-
istence, is scheduled to arrive
during the momin ghours and
will be unloaded on the aiding
near Canton Street From, that
point they will begin the tradi-
tional Animal Walk from the
train to Memorial Auditorium,
where The Greatest Show on
• Earth will perform through
July 11.
Children of all ages are in-
vited to watch the unloading
and the walk to Memorial Au-
ditorium. Local radio and tele-
vision personalities will be rid-
ing some of the elephants •
The 22-elephant entourage,
under direction of Buckles
Woodcock, the eminent trainer
and pachyderm expert, will
lead the procession, followed
by herds of thoroughbred Arib-
ian stallions, Clydesdales, as
well as, pinto poines, drome-
daries and Hamas.
Accompanying the cavalcade
from the train to the arena
will be contingent of clowns

Mrs. Farnsworth
Passed Away
Monday, June 1
Mrs. Mildred C. Farnsworth,
82, 240 Lester, Burleson, pass-
ed away Monday, June 4, 1979,
at a local nursing home.
She was a native of Iowa,
bom on June 30, 1896, the dau-
ghter of Mr. and Mrs. John S.
Carl. She had been a resident
of Burleson for 2 years and
formerly lived in California. j .
She was an Episcopalian.
Survivors are: Son, Fred Kie-
sling, Burleson; brother, ohn j ‘
Carl, Houston; sister, Mrs.'
Frances Withers, Houston ; 7 ■
grandchildren; and 7 great gran-'
dchildren.
Services were held at 2:00
p.m., Wednesdya, June 6, 1979,
Jones Funeral Home Chapel,
with Rev. Glen Kollmeyer,
Charity Lutheran Church, Bur-
leson, officiating. Interment
was in Greenwood Memorial
Park, Fort Worth.
Jones Funeral Home, Burle-
son, was in charge of arrange-
ments.
