Missionary Baptist Church to have a 130 year
anniversary celebration Sunday, Nay 7, 1989.
Regular morning service with lunch and
special services in the afternoon. The church
would like to invite all who have been
•embers and those who have attended New
Maven. Also, anyone who would like to come
celebrate this occasion with them. Bro James
Hinkle will preach the morning message and
Anniversary message. Come and help make this
a big day to not only honor the church, but
our Lord.
Visiting in the home of Ola* and Katie Low
this past week end were son and family,
Jerry, Susie, Asa and Gordan Low of
Arlington. Saturday afternoon, Oma Ruth Smith
and Dorothy Ladner came to brother Ola's home
to visit also. This was their first time to
see their new great nephew. After a short
visit the group went to the fish fry at
American Legion for the evening meal. If you
missed the Abused Children fund raising
supper, you sure missed a delicious meal and
a worthy cause.
Sunday after church, more company arrived at
the Lowhi, Wendell, Ollie, and Wendy Wade and
Steven Smith of Idabel; Tony, Cindy, Tonya,
Cris Lindsey, Horatio, Ark.
The Dimple Community met Thursday April 11
for a covered dish supper with Norris
Griffith saying the blessing. President Frank
Faulkner opened the business meeting, asking
secretary Clara Phillips to read the minutes
which were approved. There was a motion and
second to ledt the officers of 1988-89 serve
again for the following year which carried.
The Nay meeting will be honoring the Senior
Citizens of the Dimple Community with Katie
Low, Chris Raulston and Joann Faulkner being
hostesses. Geraldine Posey was elected to be
the Senior Citizen to represent the Club at
Senior Citizens day at The First Christian
Church in Clarksville, Tuesday, May 9, at
200 pjs.
There were twenty-two present at the meeting
with Lillian Ralston, Geraldine Posey and
Lucille Johnston being the hostesses and did
a great Job.
OUs and Katie Low had fish supper with
•ill and Juanita Finley Thursday evening,
•ill helped OUs build a back porch on the
East side of the Lou's new dining room.
Jakie Gibbs, Littleton, Co. visited
last week and attended hi* aunt’s

Church Saturday. Ann Todd was speaker and spoke on
Love**. The church was beautifully
with spring flowers. Breakfast was
served and each lady carried a sack lunch. It was
a very enjoyable day.

heart surgery.
