On Saturday, September 27,
2003, North lexas LifeStar of
Sherman landed at Cooper Lake
Corps of Engineers facility to
teach a landing zone class for all
fire departments and EMS in
Delta and Hopkins Counties.
Ranger Jack Stephenson. Delta
County Emergency Manage-
ment Coordinator Jerry Wood,
and North Hopkins Fire Chief
James Flanagan worked to-
gether to get this class scheduled
for everyone.
They had a lot of good infor-
mation presented to them by the
LifeStar crew. Some of the
items discussed were how large
of an area they need for landing,
how to mark power lines, what
the weather condition is in the
area and any coordinates tha
they have so that LifeStar havi
an idea where the scene is.
All this information and mon
needs to be known by the Fin
Fighters and EMS personnel s<

Timothy Wayne Moody, and

of Ladonia, found themselves in
the Delta County Jail late
Tuesday afternoon when it was
learned they were responsible
for the theft of Richard Hill's
cattle from his farm located in
the Klondike Community on
Saturday night. October 18.2003.
I he trio apparently made two
trips to the Hill Farm stealing a
newborn bull calf around 7:30
p.m. and came back around 11:30
p in. to capture another calf.
They had a little bad luck when
the 3-vveek old calf put up a fight
and injured one of the rustlers by
kicking him in the nose and
knocking him out.
A neighbor in the area saw
the vehicle out in the pasture and
chased the vehicle towards
Pecan Gap.
One of the suspects. Michael
