BFCC enjoyed an evening of
sone and testimony Sundav night.
Those celebrating in song
were: Elizabeth Biassengame,
Melissa Miller, Breck Moore,
Hannah and Hayley Moore,
Mary and Al Clark, Danny Jones,
Kenneth and Margaret Springer,
Kali Wooten, Tirzah Hoskison,
Terri Ann Johnson, Jessica
Johnson, and Shanna Hoskison.
Many of these and others
offered testimonies of the Lord’s
blessings and answered prayer
as well.
The testimony and sharing
service is each last Sunday
Gary and Tommie Regan have
a new little grandson. Drew
Regan, who was born 8/25,
weighing 7 pounds and was 19
inches long. Mr. and Mrs. Justin
Regan are the proud parents.
Tommie visited them last week
end. She was at the house when
they got home from the hospital
Sunday.
Dan Worden rodeoed in the
Clarksville Ranch Rodeo last
week end and did a good job. His
team got 3"1 place.
The Wards were rodeoing in
OK. last week end. Wes was
the announcer.
Our children’s choir did extra
well at the Methodist Sunday
morning. They sang the songs
they were planning to sing at the
Laity Banquet at the Sulphur
Springs First United Methodist
Church Sunday evening. The
adult choir sang the beautiful
song, “Love Lifted Me.” Our
candle lighters were Taylor
Ingram and Lainey Huie, with
help from Sydneye Worden, and
our ushers were Austin and Jack
Chambliss, Shane Ingram, and
Billy Watson. We had a business
meeting Wednesday night at the
Church and elected new officers
for the coming year.
Sunday evening a large group
from Charleston attended the
Laity Banquet. Our children’s
choir did extra well singing in the
District Youth Choir. Every
where I looked, 1 saw children

A fire gutted the interior of the
Friedman Iron, Metal Works
building in Paris last Friday, and
one wall and part of the roof of
the building fell in.
The fire started about 5:30
p.m. and was under control and
hour later. The building mainly
contained surplus was goods
which Leon Friedman owner,
said would total $50,000 in value.
He said he was unable
immediately to estimate damage
to the building.
The loss was partially covered
by insurance.

August 22, 1947 issue of The

A 36-hour probe for what was
believed to be a body in a well
five miles northeast of
Commerce in the Jardin
community ended in a new hoax
last Saturday. Farmers who
removed six feet of water by
hand found nothing on the bottom
except the remains of a rabbit
and possibly a decayed rat.
All Hunt County was
electrified last week by a report
that pieces of flesh and bone
termed possibly parts of a body
by a Commerce physician has
been found in the well by John
Hardin, farmer. Curious
neighbors decided to empty the
