Agent Resigns
Mrs. Jania M. Weiss, home
demonstration agent for John-
son County since January 1968,
has resigned from the position,
effective March 16.
Her resignation was announc-
ed by County Judge Tom Ball
and Mrs. Tom Joyce Cunning-
ham, of Denton, supervisor of
District 4 ,in the Agricultural
Extension Service of Texas
A & M University.
A successor to Mrs. Weiss
will be appointed soon.
She and her husband will con-
tinue to make their home in
Burleson. He is James T. Weiss
Jr., engineer with General Dy-
namics of Fort Worth.

The A. E. Frazier P-TA met
in r e g u 1 a r session, Tuesday,
Feb. 25, 7:30 p.m. in the school
cafetorium. Brownie Troop 389
presented the flag ceremony.
Brother Jim Canton, minister of
the First Christian Church led
the invocation. The minutes of
the previous meeting were ap-
proved after being read by Mrs.
Richard Alvarado, recording
secretary. P-TA President, Mrs.
James Kepper introduced Mrs.
Richard Alvarado and Mrs. Neil
Cobern, who are the two mem-
bers selected from the execu-
tive board to serve on the nomi-
nating committee. Three addi-
tional members were then elect-
ed by the membership. They are
Mrs. Don Neel, chairman, Mrs.
Charles Wallace and Mrs. Ed-
ward Swan.
The second grade under the
direction of Mrs. Lyndell Rusk
presented a musical program.
Mrs. Carlton Fowler, program
chairman then introduced Mr.
Bill Ray from the Southwestern
Bell Telephone Co. who made
a very interesting talk.
With no further business, the
meeting was adjourned and
everyone was served coffee^n#! ’■fV
