Baptist Church Banquet
The seniors of the First Bap-
tist Church were honored with
a banquet Saturday night, May
21, in the Fellowship Hall at
the church. The theme of the
banquet was “On The Right
Side.” The room was decorated
with helium filled balloons in
red and white, the class colors.
The entertainment was a
skit, "Down by the Sea," pre-
sented by Tim Starkey, David
Quisenberry, Jo Starkey and
Donna Harris.

ing, honoring their grandson,
Bobby Smith, senior of Burle-
son High School. Cohostesses
were Mrs. Bob Smith, mother
of the honoree, and Mrs. Gene
Harris.
The table, covered with a red
linen cloth, was centered with
"A Wise Old Owl." Places were
marked with black silhouettes
of graduates, holding white di-
plomas.
The menu consisted of pan-
cakes, sausage, orange juice and
milk. The invocation was given
by Tim Starkey. Misses Paula
Harris and Linda Smallwood
and Mrs. Gene Harris assisted
in serving.

delicious breakfast of fruit
cups, muffins, scrambled eggs
and ham, broiled tomatoes, fruty
juice and coffee, everyone was
entertained by Mrs. Durham,
who read selections from a
newspaper dated "May 15,
1986,” whiph contained humor-
o'us items about the seniors.
Several popular songs were

Margaret Burns, who were ac-
companied by Phil Burns on the
guitar.
