Satisfaction with the service they are getting among
its patrons is the greatest asset of any public service
company. Long ago progressive managers of public
utilities recognized this. Since then many efforts have
been made to help patrons get the most from their
service.
In the natural gas field the first requirement, of
course, is a regular supply of gas. To obtain this great
effort and expenditure have been required. Machinery
alone has involved the spending of millions.
But the aid of the patron is just as necessary as
these efforts. Your gas company delivers the gas to
you; what you do with it afterwards largely determines
your satisfaction.
First there comes the question of appliances. These
run all the way from very good to very bad. Modern
appliances designed solely for gas burning pay their
own way. Makeshift devices are always expensive and
usually unsatisfactory. No matter how good the gas
supply, the appliances in which it is burned determine
its value to you.
Second is the adjustment of these same appliances.
Natural gas requires a mixture of air to bum properly.
It should have from 9^2 to 10*/2 times as much air as
gas, and the only way in which it can obtain this supply
is by the proper adjustment of burners and air intake.
Greater capacity for less gas, more cleanliness and
safer heating are dependent upon proper adjustment.
Third is the management of gas fires. This sounds
very simple, but it is not necessarily so. Each user
should study this question for himself or herself.
Many wasteful practices could be overcome, and greater
satisfaction be obtained. f
Co-operate with us, please, to make our service
perfect.

People, if you have a weak heart
and mimed the same Saturday nite
between Everman Baptist and Jesh-
ua, you ought to be proud of your-
self, for you could not have lived
through it without effort on your
part. Some exciting game. Score
waa 21-23 in favor of Baptist. War-
ren and Gosney led the team in point
which came in time of need every
time.
Baptist also defeated the “Mon-
yed Ward” team earlier in the week
by a score of 38-28.
They play Burleson Wednesday
nite at Fort Worth, a league game.
The grasshoppers played a tie with
Stop 6, the league leaders, last Fri-
day nite. The score was 20-26, which
could not be played off on account
of the league ruling. “Sis” Brown,
forward, was high point of the goal
tessera. Katherine Mitchelf was just
too much for the Stop 6 centers to
go.

Everman High girls played a great
game with Forrest Hill Friday nite,
score wae 16-8, favor of Everman.
E. H girls started off slow, but
ended like a whirl wind, and if they
had have had more minutes, Forrest
Hill would have gone bar ktc the
Kill further behind on the score.
The boys have talked it over and
decided that E. H. would have the
best Hack squad of its history. They
may lose a few games in basket ball
but tney will not let the ether high
ecool boys think they are the beat
athlete, in everything. So look for-

the coming April.
