hpma City today announced that
Loffland Brothers Co. of Tulsa
has been named drilling con-
tractor for the joint venture
28,000-Ioot E. R. Baden Unit
Well No. 1 wildcat in the Ana-
darko Basin in western Okla-
homa.
C. J. Harrison, vice president
of the Lone Star Gas subsidi-
ary, said that contracts were
signed Tuesday with Loffland (
and that drilling will begin lat-1
er this month. Drilling time on
the project located 10 miles
southwest of Elk City, Okla,
is estimated at 18 months. Pro-
jected to a world record depts,
it is scheduled to explore for
Springer Sand and Hunton
Lime gas reserves.
Under terms of the contract
Lone Star will retain a 75 per
cent working interest in the
test and will be operator of the
project.
