On SATURDAY, JUNE 16, we will have to
offer a small quantity of Boy’s Knee Pant Suits
sizes running from 3 to 8 years, inclusive.
The majority of these suits were recently pur-
chased at a big discount because they were the
last of a lot that the wholesale merchant wanted to
close out The others are some that we have had
in stock since early spring and their values are up
to $2.50 a suit Any suit in the lot is easily worth
$2.00 to $2.50 and will bring that amount on any

whole lot on special sale for per suit, cash

The assistant in the postoffice
■aid to the Chronicle man one
day recently: “If yon would
know how anxious the people are
to get the Chronicle every week,
)ust come in some Friday when
the paper is a little late, and
spend a few hours with us.”
The editor listened to the above
expression with much gratifica-
tion and we are pleased to know
the people appreciate our efforts
to publish a live paper. We are
not satisfied, however, with the
paper we are issuing; neither is
the management of the big dailies
satisfied with their publications.
A feature that we wisa to im-
prove is country correspondence.
We would like to have a good
live letter each week from every
community tributary to Carroll-
ton and will spare no effort on
our part to secure some one to
act in this capacity. Will you
help us?
Among the candidates who
spoke at the meeting Wednesday
night was Henry W. Jones, can
didate for tax collector. The
friends of Mr. Jones all over the
county are staying with him on

for the office to which he aspires
and that he has proven, by his
past record, to be a fit man for
public office. In any walk of life

the water to each side and then
carried off. Now fot six or eight
inches of gravel, and a portion
of Carrollton, at least, will be
pulled out of the mud.
