enders, statewide, and is ex-
pected to be a big success again

The fish categories include
ling, kingfish, dolphin, red
snapper, sailfish, red fish,
trout, flounder and a perch divi-
sion for children 12 years old
and under.
The registration fee of $15 will
include a seafood dinner on
Saturday evening, Aug. 11 at 7
p.m. for all participating
anglers Children under 12 may
fish in any category at no fee.

out a blaze near Brushy Acres
Trailer Park, Highway 361 and
Avenue A They returned
several hours later to put out a
second blaze in the same area.
Investigators have not ruled out
arson.
That same day, Ingleside fire
fighters assisted Aransas Pass
to extinguish a grass fire near
Kenney Land and Highway 361.
That fire was probably started
by a go-kart powered by an un-
covered lawn mower engine.
A little boy
Mr and Mrs Wade Echols,
Sr., announce the birth of their
son, Johnathon Dale, born Sun-
day, July 8 at 11:57 p.m. in Cor-
pus Christi at Spohn hospital
He weighed seven pounds and
six and one half ounces at birth
and was 19>^ inches long.
He is welcomed by his five
year old brother Wade; his
maternal grandparents, Evelyn
McCumber of Aransas Pass and
Mr. and Mrs. G.R Bramblett of
George West.
Also by his paternal grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Echols, Sr., of Seadrift, Texas
and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Watson
of Ingleside as well as his
maternal great-grandparents

Seven fires have kept In-
gleside firemen busy during the
first two weeks of the month,
notes Fire Marshal Kathy
McGraw.
She warns of extremely dry
conditions and the tight water
situation in cautioning residents
of fire safety.
A car fire on July 4 was pro-
bably caused by a smoldering
cigarette in the back seat. The
car was reported burning along
FM Road 1069 near Bayview

made to the fire department.
On July 6, a grass fire and a
burning forklift were put out
near the Reynolds plant on
Highway 361.
