with late deaths raising the

chapter of the Fellowship
of Christian Athletes held
an organizational meeting
Monday night at the high
school
Officers elected included

Fred Blakemore, vice pres
ident and Rodney Thacker,
secretary-treasurer.
“Our goal this year,”
says Athletic Director
Steve Cooper, “is to stim-
ulate interest and conduct
fund raising projects to
send as many members as
possible to Summer Con-
ference.”

zation is for high school
athletes to confront the
people they come in con-
tact with daily with Jesus
Christ,” says Coach
Cooper.
The organization is non-
denominational and mem-
bers of the coaching staff

Funds
Needed
The Mt Zion Cemetery is
in need of funds to be used
for mowing and upkeep of
the cemetery Persons hav-
ing relatives or friends
buried there and have not
made a contribution, it
would be appreciated
The cemetery’s perpet-
ual fund is available for
donations in lieu of flowers
and as memorials to
friends and family Money
in this fund is never spent
but the interest is used for
upkeep of the cemetery
