Quality Education
“Together We Help A Child
by Supporting Quality Education”
was the subject of a panel discus-
sion at the South Franklin P.-T.A.
meeting Monday night, October
12, beginning at 7:00.
Moderator Was Mrs. Lee Meyer.
Members of the panel were Lee
Meyer, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Lan-
caster, and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie
Anderson.
The panel stressed t$at learning
especially sharing and respect of
elders, begins in the home; that
lack of religious training is pre-
valent in the drop out and delin-
quency problem; and that physi-
cal fitness la developed in the
home and only cultivated by the
school.
Panelist Lee Meyer stated, “A
teacher has to have a degree from
a college or university recognized
by the state or a provisional certi-
ficate and a teacher’s certificate.
The teacher must teach in the field
in which she majored or mlnored.”

Durinig the business meetiing
the group withdrew from the Tri-
County Council, decided to have
a Halloween Carnival and sponsor
morning milk for all children for
the year.
The Halloween carival will In-
clude, a carnival, supper, carna-
ttion, and costume contest. It will
be held Thursday October 29.
