John M. Adair, 96. of Saltillo
died at 11 p.m. Thursday, Novem-
ber 25 in the Franklin County
Hospital at Mount Vernon.
Survivors Include three sons,
Jess and Dencie L. Adair of Sal-
tillo and T. L. Adair of Garland,
and two daughters. Mrs. Lee Mc-
Clung of Saltillo and Mrs. Wright
Bryant of Mount Vernon; one
brother, C. L Adair of Texarkana,
eight grandchildren, thirteen great
grandchildren and two great great
grandchildren.

morial Hospital at the age of 83.
She was born in Wood County
Jan. 25. 1882, the daughter of
John and Mary Gary Lloyd.

Congressman Wright Patman
notified the Optic-Herald by tele-
gram Tuesday he is recommend-
ing Allen L. Wright frtr appoint-
ment as rural carrier at Scroggins.
Wright is currently employed by
Tidewater Oil Co. at their plant
in the New Hope Field. Wright
is also engaged in the cattle bus-
iness. He is a member of the Mt
Vernon School Board and is active
in civic wdr*k. ? •’

post occurred several months ago

Bo Campbel] Quits
As Kimball High
Football Coach
Bo Campbell, the only head foot-
ball coach in Kimball High School
(Dallas) history, resigned Saturday
after eight yean as boss of the
Knights.
Campbell's last Knight team
posted a 5-5-1 season, giving him
an overall record of 39-36-3 at
Kimball.
“My only plans are to stay in
the Dalias school system as a
teacher,” he said. ”1 want to de-
vote more time to my family and
also be able to watch fnwttaH*
leisurely.”
Bo is a graduate of Mount Ver-
non High School and is' a son of
Mrs. John Campbell. He was a
coach in the Mount Vernon School
system previous to joining the
Dallas school system.
Robby, a younger brother of Bo,
resigned as head football coach
at Thomas Jefferson High School
in Dallas about a week earlier.
