Baptist Church, with th^ Rev.
Morris Hill officiating In-
terment was in the Sulphur
Bluff cemetery with Wade
Bartley. Archie Collins and
Danny and Eddie Cavanaugh
serving as pallbearers.
The child was born Feb. 2,
• 1972. in Sulphur Springs, and
died at 4:30 a m. Saturday in
Granville C. Morton Research
Hospital in Dallas.

Birthdays
Those who celebrated their
birthday in the month of
September were Andrew
English, 84, Polly Ann
Brannon, 74, Lockie Hunni-
cutt, 84, Lawrence Connelly,
88, and Viola Parker, 95.
Twenty-three members of
the Mt. Vernon High School
band furnished the program
under the direction of Ray
Mullins, band director.
Some songs played were
“The Work Song,” “A Rock,”
“If My Friends Could See Me
Now,” and “Peace Maker
March.”
Elmer Roberts and Ben
Raney marched around the
tables to one of the marches.
Cakes were furnished by
the English family, Doris
Meek for Polly Brannon,
Dovie Hall and Nell Cannaday
for Lockie Hunnicutt and
Blanch Hightower for Law-
rence Connelly. The nursing
home and Doris Meek
furnished cakes for Viola
Parker and the high school
band Fruit punch was served
with the cakes.
Gifts were presented to the
honorees and their picture
taken to be on display in the
hall through September
Guests and band students
visited with all of the folks at
the party

ber 27. will include four

flareside pickups, chasis
