mother.
The "Homettee,” a quartet com-
posed of Janie Long, Teresa Puck-
ett, Lynn Reynolds and Nila Solo-
mon accompanied by Barbara
Griffith, sang "Today'' and "Peo-
ple.”
Beverly Carr and Mary Beth
Newsom reported on the State
FHA meeting which they attended
in San Antonio April 28-29. Diane
Davis presented "New Horlsons,”
a prophecy concerning the graduat-
ing seniors who were being hon-
ored.
The advisor, Mrs. Tom Newsom,
presented silver thimbles to > the
mothers, an FHA pin to the presi-
dent and red and white FHA em-
blems to the other officers.
The chapter colors, red end
white, and the chapter flower, red
roses, were used In decorating.
Motifs suggestive of homemaking,
made by Bettye Burns, were used
ss background on stage. Beverly
and Elaine Carr served as chair-
men of the planning committee.
The group sang their Future
Homemaker song and repeated the
FHA creed as their benediction.

caught in the Sabine River channel just below the Lake Tawakoni flood outlet structure last
Friday. The six catfish weighed 175 pounds with the smallest 18 pounds and the largest just under
40 pounds. The outlet gates had been closed on Friday morning.
