Presto! Chevrolet changes old roads to new!
Does it with a ride so smooth, handling so sure
and going so sweet that it’s almost magic.
Chevy owes its Jet-smooth ride to some mighty
ingenious engineering . . . things like Full Coil
suspension, precision balanced wheels, unique
chassis cushioning and a superlatively insulated
Body by Fisher. Nor does Chevy’s ingenuity stop
with ride. Take performance, for instance. You’ve
a choice of 24 power teams ranging all the way
up to the mighty 348-cubic-inch Turbo-Thrust
V8’s* with shift-free Turboglide transmission.*
More ingenuity: When you
check Jet-smooth Chevy prices
with your dealer you’ll dis-
cover that nothing so easy
riding was ever so easy to own.

Hia theme waa “World Today.” *
“Liberty and health go hand in
hand. We don’t value it till It’s
almost gone. Our 20th Century
Americans are suffering from un-
concern of their liberty, hiding be-
hind ‘it can’t happen here.’
“The lamp of truth must be re-
lit. You can’t cure cancer with
more cancer cells, so you can’t
cure the Socialist trends in our
country with more Socialism.
“Federal control of distribution,
manufacturing, labor, welfare, pri-
vate property, etc., will be the
final destruction of our Constitu-
tion. It will leave a class of rul-
ers and the people will be slaves.
This is the end result of Socialism-
Communism.
“Lloyd George said some 25
years ago, ’You cannot trust the
fight for freedom in Socialism.’
“The biggest menace today are
the Americans who hold their
hands, those who have lost inter-
est and lost faith in the God that
our forefathers worshiped. We
must stand firm, have a plan and
purpose. God did not part the
waters of the Red Sea till Moses
and the children of Israel took the
first step. We must take the fi/st
step now for personal freedom."
Mrs. Robert Pendergrass was a
guest for the meeting.
Present plans are That the next
meeting will be held in Mt. Ver-
non, April 8, Saturday, at 2:30 p.m.
at the home of Virgie Beth Hugh-
es.
