Bapti-t Church read a scripture
from Proverbs and the niedita
[ion was centered around a per-
son, being a good wife, mother
and civic worker. Her useful-
ness could an dshould extend
beyond her home but always
with God's approval, guidance
and wisdom. With pray he open-
ed and closed the meeting.
The discussion of last year's
financial project of raising over
$800.00 toward helping buy band
uniforms was deemed a most
worthwhile contribution to our
school and community.
It was voted to purchase a
book or books for the Aspermont
Public Library as a project for
10ii4-C5.

the panel for discussing. "1 low
Can We Afford Not To Have A
P-TA." There were manvy ques-
tions and much discussion. 1 he
summary was the invaluable
good of P-TA. These five points
were summarized by the entire
group.
1. The P-TA's task remains
constant an dunchanging in a
mutable world to provide for
every child in our midst —a
home warmed by love and light-
ed by faith and high purpose.
2. ' A school in which the
young mind stretches and the
young heart reaches toward
Christian ideals.
3. A community where just
and generous adults, living un-
der a democracy provide models
to emulate.
4. Is not this the way that our
organization can best fortify our
nation fo rthe era ahead. Is not
this the best way through the
guidance of our well trained
teachers, who are with our
children more than we, assuring
them not of mere survival but
understanding.
5. There is need of all, room
for all and a pledge that all, will
find opportunities to "Cooperate
in the School Story With Our
P-TA."
Mrs. Duncan presented the
P-TA gift, selected by the com-
mittee, to the past president,
Mrs. Bill Lacy and her husband,
,ii appreciation for a year of
fine work.
Mrs. James Woods was hostess
for the meeting and served re-
freshment from a table which
carried out the Valentine theme.
