Club, a member of the Texas
Federation of Women’s Clubs,
met Thursday night, Sept. IB,

home of Mrs Earl Rddkey
with Mrs David E Bolger as

members present.
Mrs Rodkey and Mrs
Bolger served a salad plate
consisting of chicken mayon
naise, tomato aspic, lime
icebox pie. hot bread sticks

dent, welcomed the members.
Mrs. Newsom quoted the

director of the program. She
showed slides of her trip to
Europe, featuring scenes
from Holland, France, Italy,
England, Switzerland and
Germany.

Campaign Success
Mrs Doug Henegar. Jr .

the recent Breath of Life
Campaign to fight children's
lung damaging diseases lor
the National Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation, said she felt the
first such campaign in Mt
Vernon was a success with
1 $200,00 being contributed by
business houses and individ-
uals.
She expressed thanks to
everyone who contributed and
said their contributions will
help thousands of children
breathe easier by making
research and treatment pos-
sible for these children
Mrs Henegar said she
appreciated very much the
time and effort given by her
co-workers in the campaign
She said without their help
and the cooperation ot those
contacted for donations the
compaign could not have been
successful
