Monday, April 20, 2015 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday,
April 25 at Johnson Cemetery in Joaquin with Bro. Luke
Garrett officiating.
Mrs. Garrett was born September 18, 1951 in Center
to Clarence Dockens and Willie Dee Elliott Dockens.
She was preceded in death by grandson, Kane May;
parents, Clarence Dockens and Willie Dee Elliott
Dockens; brother, Charles Dockens.
Mrs. Garrett is survived by her husband, George
Randall “Randy” Garrett of Joaquin; children, Richard
Jones of Joaquin, Maranda Knox and husband, Mike,
of Eddy, Summer Covington and husband, Jody, of
Charlie Mack Bussey

Charlie Mack Bussey, 77, of Center, passed away
Friday, April 24, 2015 at his residence.
Graveside services will take place at 2 p.m., Friday,
April 24 at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Visitation
will be held prior to the graveside service at Watson and
Sons Funeral Home in Center, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
He was born November 9,1937 in Center to Malcom
Lee Bussey and Mattie Lou Steele Bussey. He served in
the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Bussey was preceded in death by his wife,
Lucretia Liem Bussey; parents, Malcom Lee Bussey
and Mattie Lou Steele Bussey; brother-in-law, John D.
Windham.
He is survived by his daughters, Beth Bussey Jones

He was born April 9, 2015 to the parents of Shaunice
Smith and DeMarcus Bennett.
He is survived by his parents Shaunice Smith and

Alen Paul Shuemaker, 33, of Tenaha, passed away
Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at his residence.
Services will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2015
at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro.
Randall Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Buck-
ner Cemetery in Center.
Alen was born October 9,1981 in Shelby County to
Bobby Shuemaker and Manuela Wilkinson Shuemaker.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mozelle
Wilkinson, Mitchell Wilkinson, Gladys Boykin, Wood-
row Shuemaker.
Mr. Shuemaker is survived by his sons, Matthew
Colby Shuemaker of Kirbyville, Chance Alen Shue-
Bo Barbe
1935-2015
Bo Barbe, 79, of the Aken Community of Shelby
County, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at his
residence.
Services were held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 22 at
Watson and Sons Chapel with L.D. Eddins officiating.
Interment followed at White Rock Cemetery in Center.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April
21at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center.
He was born November 12,1935 in Shelby County to
Charles N. Barbe and Lois McKinzie Barbe. He gradu-
ated from Center High School in 1953. Mr. Barbe went
on to further his education at SFA, where he earned his
Bachelor of Science Degree in 1957 and his Masters
Degree in 1963. He was a teacher at Excelsior Common
School District, Timpson ISD and Center ISD. He also
worked at Shelby County Co-op. He was a member of
Shelby County Farm Bureau, SFA Aumni Association
and Excelsior ISD School Board. He loved sports of all
kinds, especially enjoying basketball and hunting. He
was of the Church of Christ faith.
Mr. Barbe was preceded in death by his parents,
Charles N. Barbe and Lois McKinzie Barbe; sister, Jo
