only living creatures of the dry earth to
survive. The waters surged on the earth
for 150 days. They lived in the ark for a
full solar year, 365 days.
As we have already seen, Noah had
three sons; Shem, Ham and Japheth,
here I will list the general languages of
their decedents.
Shem: (six sons) Was to become the
Father of all the Semitic’s, the people
who spoke Hebrew.
Ham: (four sons) Their descendants
included; Gentiles, Arabic-speaking,
Semitic-speaking and African-speaking
peoples.
Japheth: (seven sons) Japheth
fathered the Greeks, Athenians, and the
Europeans. His descendants spread far
from the Middle East into the western
world.

Noah, his wife, his
sons, Shem, Ham
and Japheth and their
wives, and all of the
animals and birds
entered the ark; “all
sources of the watery
depths burst open,
the floodgates of the
sky were opened
and rain fell on
earth 40 days and 40
I nights.” (VS 12)
There is no example, in nature, of
this Supernatural event. We can sup-
I pose that water gushed from the bow-
els of the earth from the sources that
provided all moisture on the earth up
until that time; no rain had ever fallen
from heaven.
The earth was watered from below.
We can know that God made the flood
happen upon His wishes and being “all-
powerful” He could most certainly do
whatever He wished.
My vision of
that time would be
thousands of geysers,
like “Old Faithful” at
Yellowstone erupting
constantly, spewing
water high into the air.
So the rain con-
tinued and the flood
raised the ark and it
floated above the earth
upon the floodwaters.
The mountains were eventually covered
with 15 cubits or 22 feet of water over
them and all living creatures perished
from the earth. All creatures that swarm
are also eliminated from the earth.
“Everything with the breath of the
spirit of life in its nostrils - everything
on dry land died.” (VS 22) It does not
say that the fishes of the sea died, only
the creatures of the land and the birds
of the air. Man had not corrupted the
fishes of the seas. Noah and his fam-
ily and the animals in the ark were the

The judgements of man by the flooding
This week we will look at the seventh
chapter of Genesis, the judgment of
man by the flood. As they prepared to
enter the ark, God had Noah gather an
additional seven pairs (male and female)
of each of the clean animals, two pairs
of each of the unclean animals, and
two pairs of each of the birds of the air.
These he took into the ark with him and
his family.
