Shannon Pennington and Cody Baldree were married in a double-ring cere-
mony on Nov. 16 at Central Baptist Church in Carthage. The pastor of the church,
Dr. Charles Dodson, officiated.
The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Pennington of Carthage. Her
grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pennington of Carthage, Mrs. Chester
James of Quinton, Okla., and the late Chester James.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Ann Baldree of the Horton Community and the
late Johnny Baldree. He is the grandson of Mr. Frank Dungan of Natchez, Miss.,
and the late Mrs. Frank Dungan, and Mr. and Mrs. John H. Baldree.
The guest were greeted by Mrs. Kelli Rhiddlehoover and Julie Payne. The
registry table was accented by the bride's book, pearls and angels.
The alter was decorated with multi-level pillar candles in the shape of a heart
accented with babies breath. A single burgundy candle was lit before the service
began ana burned throughout in memory of the groom's father.
The bride wore her mother’s blue garter and penney that she wore in her wed-
ding. The bride also wore a family heirloom diamond bracelet from her father's
side of the family.
Matron of honor was Shawna Blissett. Serving as bridesmaids were Gina
Rogers, Heather Claxton, Lindsay Jones, Katie Allison, Leigh Anna Parker, and
Loretta Blair. They wore floor-length burgundy dresses with long-sleeved jackets
and carried a bouquet of stargazer lilies, white roses and greenery.
Haleigh Parker, daughter of Leigh Anna and Dan Parker, served as the flower
girl. She wore a white dress with lace appliques accented with pearls.
The groom was attended by his best man, Ron Sharp. Serving as groomsmen
were Shane Pennington, Toby Clabaugh, Keary Ross, Blanton Rich, Dan Parker,
and Bart Blair. The ring bearer was Colby Gates, cousin of the bride. Serving as
ushers were Brad Robinson, Bo Sharpe, David Waldrop, and Jason Blair.
Music was provided by Karon O'Neal. 'The Man In Love With You" was sung
by Brandon Rhiddlehoover, and Dr. and Mrs. George Taylor sang "The Father
Says I Do" and "The Lord's Prayer.”
Following the wedding, the guests were invited to a reception in the church's
activity center. The wedding cake was a very impressive spiral design and was
iced in a basket weave design. Each layer was accented with fresh flowers;
stargazer lilies, babies breath, rose buds and greenery. The groom's table had a
very appropriate theme with the cake being in the shape of Texas. The house party
was Regina Hamm, Beverly Henderson, Tracie Jolley, Shelly Leggett, Sarah Is-
abell, and Lessley Morris.
On the evening prior to the wedding, Ann Baldree hosted a rehearsal dinner at
Joe's Family Restaurant in Carthage. The theme was western with chicken fried
steak and all the fixings.
Following the honeymoon, the couple will reside in the Horton Community.

Mr. and Mrs. John Edward Bland are honored to announce the marriage of
their daughter Jenny Anne to Jason Wayne Hodnett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Freddie
Wayne Hodnett The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Edward
Bland of Arkadelphia, Ark., and Mr. and Mrs. William Christopher of Marfa,
Texas. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Nichols of Knott,
Texas, and Viola Hodnett of Big Spring.
Their vows were solemnized in a candlelight ceremony at St. Paul's United
Methodist Church in Midland on Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. Dr. Jerry Pennington of First
United Methodist Church in Carthage performed the double-rir g ceremony.
Maid of honor was Kelly Bland of Carthage, the bride's sister, and Janelie
Foster, also of Carthage, served a£ bridesmaid.
Clint Anderson was best man, and Rusty Genetti served as groomsman, both
of Big Spring.
A reception was held following the ceremony in honor of the couple in the
church parlor. The wedding party and immediate family members were dinner
guests of the groom's parents at the Cattleman's Steakhouse Restaurant in Midland
following the reception.
The bride is a graduate of Carthage High School and Howard County Commu-
nity College in Big Spring. Upon completion of her year as a Lady Hawk on the
nationally ranked Women's Basketball team for Howard College, she will con-
tinue her undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Permian Basin, Mid-
land.
The groom is a graduate of Ackerly High School, and attended Howard
County College and Texas Tech University. He is employed by Caprock Electric
Company.
The couple will make their home in Stanton, Texas
Stephenson and Malinosky announce engagement
Monica Stephenson and James (JJ.) Malinosky, both of
Carthage, announce their engagement. The bride-elect Is the
daughter of Loretta Stephenson of Carthage, and the late
Mickey Stephenson of Timpson. She Is the granddaughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John Manchaca of Carthage, and Melma and the
late Frank Stephenson of Gary. She Is a 1989 graduate of
Carthage High School and Is employed by Bush Construction
In Gary as a secretary. The prospective groom is the son of
John and Helena Malinosky of Hemet, Calif. He is a 1985 gradu-
ate of Grace King High School In Metairie, La., and Is employed
by Vance International Security Company. The wedding date Is
set for March 22 at 7 p.m. at the Carthage Country Club.
Friends and relatives are invited. The newlyweds will reside in
Carthage.

Mr. & Mrs. Patrick John Peerenbopm nee Terri Lynne Baize
Baize, ‘Peerenboom unite in marriage
Terri Lynne Baize and Patrick John Peerenboom were united in marriage on
Oct. 26,1996 at 1:30 p.m. at St. William Catholic in Carthage. A double ring can-
dlelight ceremony was officiated by Father Ben Smilie. Rev. Freddy Mason, pas-
tor of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Carthage, also gave a very touching prayer
during the ceremony. Organist was Mrs. Jenice Fitts of Palestine. Vocalists were
Ann Bogenschutz, Sheila Dennard, and WA. Wedgeworth. A reception followed
at the church and then a small gathering of close friends and family hosted by
Todd and Ann Bogenschutz was held at their home.
The bride'is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Baize of Carthage. She is
die granddaughter of Cleo Baker of Carthage. The groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Peerenboom of Kimberly, Wis. He is the grandson of Josephine Van-
Heeswyk of Little Chute, Wis., and Marie Peerenboom of Kimberly.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an
elegant gown of candlelight Duchess Satin and alencon lace accented with hand-
sewn seed pearls. It featured a sweetheart neckline worn off the shoulders with
softly pleated cap sleeves. The full skirt fell to slipper length into a scalloped
cathedral length train also embedded with alencon lace and seed pearls. To com-
plete the ensemble, she wore a crown of pearls nested in a fluff of tulle accented
with tiny seed pearls.
Serving as matron of honor was Mrs. Kenni Monk of Gilmer, sister of the
bride. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Amanda Elliott, and Mrs. Toni Lindsay, both of
Beckville, and Mrs. Ann Bogenschutz of Carthage, friends of the bride and
groom; and Stacie Smith of College Station, friend of the bride. Serving as flower
girls were Tori Peerenboom and Maggie Peerenboom of Larson, Wis., nieces of
the groom.
Peter Peerenboom of Kimberly served his brother as best man. Groomsmen in-
cluded Lee Peerenboom of Larson, the groom's brother, Tim Peerenboom of Kim-
berly, the groom's cousin, Mark Skogen of Green Bay, Wis., friend of the groom,
and Todd Bogenschutz of Carthage, the groom's cousin. Ushers were David Monk
Jr. of Gilmer, the bride's brother-in-law, and Tim Harkrider II of Carthage, friend
of the groom.
The alter candles were lit by Sean Matlock of Gilmer, the bride's nephew,
Scriptural readers were Mrs. Cane Harkrider of Carthage, the groom's cousin, and
Mrs. Julie Peerenboom of Larson, the groom's sister-in-law. The house party in-
cluded Mrs. Kim Griffith of Carthage, and Mrs. Traci Wise of Beckville, friends
of the bride and groom, Mrs. Shawna Stuart of Carthage, and Mrs. Laura Settle of
Stonewall, La., friends of the bride.
The couple celebrated their wedding day again on Nov. 29,1996 at a Wiscon-
sin reception hosted by the groom's parents at the Darboy Club, in Darboy, Wis.
The night consisted of a beautiful sit down dinner with candle light, wine, and
dance following. Music was provided by Tony Van Elzen.
Following a honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in
Carthage.
