The waiting lists are long and
will almost surely get longer
because private agencies aren't
ready to play their crucial role in
helping illegal aliens apply for
amnesty, officials say
More than three million aliens
are expected to apply for
legalization beginning May 5 at
more than 107 special U.S Im
migration and Naturalization
Service centers across the coun-
try.
But because many aliens are
wary of the INS. the agency is
calling on Catholic and Protes
tant churches to step in and help
manage the flood of illegal aleins

The lawsuit, filed in New York
Supreme Court last December,
came after nearly a year of unavail

with Dinter. the archdiocese or

The suit, charging discrimination
against her. initially named Dinter,
the archdiocese and the university,
but Dinter and the archdiocese won
dismissal from the case on grounds
the state cannot interfere with
religious affairs
The university, as owner of the

Have you ever watched a bird in
flight'1 It seems like they are really
enjoying themselves They are able
to see the countryside at a glance
Their vision is unobstructed by hills
or trees or the other things on the
ground They are able to see things
clearly
1 have had the opportunity for go-
ing on three years now to write ar-
ticles tn the paper for your con
sideration I have aimed at en
couraging you to search the scrip-
tures. learn of Jesus, become Chris-
tians. love God. prepare for heaven,
etc
In thinking about the article for to-
day. I thought about a film series
that does tor the Bible what bird's
flight does to the country side 1 have
a five film senes that givesbirds
eye view of the scripture from the j
creation to the New Testament 1 -Cv-
have shown them to people here and
overseas Many, many people have
enjoyed them You may be in
terested in seeing them to get an
overview of the Bible If so I would
be glad to show them to you.
I can be contacted at the Church of
Christ and am as near at the
telephone
Remember that bird and what he
is able to see Let's look at the Bible
