Rain here amounted to 2.70

Club met Tuesday of last week
in the home of Mrs. Garrett
Spltaer with nine members
present. They were Mknes.

W. G. Wienke Bill Wright,
Lynn Flowers, Bano Hertten-
berger and the hostess. They

meeting has been scheduled
tor Oct. 27, in the home of
Mrs. Wrigtit.
Old Glory High School
basketball teams got off to a
good start last Thursday
night. Both teams won their
games with Flomot here in
the local gym. Score for the
boys was 80 to 65. RusBell
Lets was high for O G. with
36 points. The giris score was
39 to 37 with Regina Letz
leading with 21 points.
Stephanie Letz has moved
to Odessa and has accepted
a position as a coach in the
Odessa Permian High School
there. She has recently com-
pleted her work for a Bach-
elor's Degj^ee at North Texas
University in Denton.
Old Glory teachers attend-
ed the District TSTA teach-
ers meeting in Abilene last
Monday.
Mr. and Mrs- KddiU* Hower-
ton of Lewisvitte were here
last weekend visiting her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L.
Boles, Rickey and Cynthia.
The Howertons have recently
moved from Abilene to Lewis-
ville. Other visitors in the
Boles home last weekend in-
cluded Mrs. Boles' brother
and his wife and other mem-
bers of his family from Hous-
ton.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Gar-
ner and Mirs. WilMe Fletcher
visited in Lubbock last week
with Mr. and Mrs. Reese Mo-
Brooiu and Mr. and I Ifs.
Ronnie Lightfoot. Mrs. Fletch-
er spent several days with
the McBrooms while Mr. and
Mrs. Gamer went on to Lit-
tletfield where they visited
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Ramsey.
Mr. and Mas. I/>y Zane
Garner, Jana and Julie, of
Abilene spent the weekend
here with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Morris Garnar.
Saturday Morris. Loy and
Jana went to Fort Worth tu
spend the day.
Mire. Margie Mischer re-
turned to the Stamford Hos-
pital fro treatment last week
and she is a patient there at
this time.
Visiting in the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Herbert Klump
ilast weekend were their
daughter, Mrs. Pete Elliott,
and her daughter, Mrs. Bill
Kolb, both of Arlington.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Roy Van-
derworth and Robert Joiner
made a trip to Brawley Calif,
recently to attend the wedding
of Christian Joiner to Michael
Micealman. The couple was
married Saturday, Oct. 10.
She is the granddaughter of
Mr. and Mrs, Lee Buy Van-
de worth and is a graduate
of Old Glory High School
Micealman is currently serv-
ing in the U. S. Navy.
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Ghol-
son visited their daughter
and family, Mr. and Mrs.
Bob Cbats and children, In
Wichita Falls last weekend.
Their granddaughter, Debra
Coats, returned home with

Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Flowers
Wednesday of last week. Mrs.
Flowers reports that Mr. and
Mrs. Rex Flowers are moving

of Rule visited here In the
home of his sister and her
husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn
Flowers, last Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Diers

visiting their daughter, Mrs.
Helen Cox, and children.

here last Saturday on their

tion last Tuesday night She
is a former member of this
club. Mrs. Flowers spent
Tuesday night in Stamford
with her aster, Mrs. Hazel
Overton.
Two former residents of
this community, Erskine Trice
of Rule, and Hazel Trice of
Stamford, are brother and
sister and both {ire m and
hospitalized. Mr. Trice Is in
the Haskell Hospital and Miss
Trt ;« is in the Stamford Hos-
pital.
