Epps. Announcing their daughter’s engagement are Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Shirley of Clarksville. Parents of ttie future

RED RIVER COUNTY
COUNCIL MEETS
The Red River County Coun-
cil met Wednesday, April 14,
in the Chamber of Commerce
building tn Clarksville. Chair-
man, Mrs. Bennie Stevens, call-
ed the meeting to order. Mrs.
Yancey led the song service and
the club prayer was repeated.
Mrs. Ruble Bell gave roll call
and read the minutes of the last
meeting. ■—- '
Eight clubs were represented
and each club has been doing
some Interesting work. The
Clarksville Club had a bake
sale; Midway had been work-
on several projects, one
club had given towels and wash
cloths to the Hospital, the Ful-
bright ladles have been quilt-
ing. • 7 ____ '
Resolutions were* made and
two passed. It was announced
that Mrs. Yancey will lead the
singing at Sulphur Springs April
28. ' •
Bogata had the demonstration
for April, which was a beautiful
.cake .baked tn a tube pan de-
corated with marshmallows
which had been dipped In tinted
sugar. It ws not only beautiful
but also delicious as it was
served to the club members.
I Clarksville will have the May
demonstration. —
There were 15 members and
3 visitors present. Visitors
were Mrs. Maxine “Damron and
Miss Melba Childress of Bo-
gata and Mrs. L. L. Stevens of
I Fulbright. • . ....
