hosts to a wedding reception
* held in the fellowship hall of
the church where they, along
with the bridal party, greeted
the guests.
The bride's table was laid
with a floor length cloth of
white satin overlayed with
white tulle featuring a border
of white satin.
Centering the table was a
five branch silver candelab-
rum holding a mass arrange-
ment of white wedding flow-
ers and swags of satin ribbons
in two shades of blue. Shed-
ding a glow to the table were
tall burning tapers.
Miss Susan Gohmert served
the four tiered cake that was
lavishly decorated and topped
with a nosegay of dainty
white flowers. Presiding at
the silver punch service was

father, the bride was lovely
in formal white satin peau
princess gown, Jeweled alen-
con lace on English net mak-
ing a boloro effect. The bod-
ice was fashioned with a high
neckline and long lace sleeves
with ruffled cuffs. The circu-
lar “A” line skirt swept to a
full chapel train.
Her veil of white silk illu-
sion fell in soft tiers to just
below her waist and extended
beyond the length of her train
from a Juliet coif of imported
re-embroidered, alencon lace
jeweled with crystals and
seed pearls.
The bride carried a formal
traditional English cascade
fashioned of white butterfly
roses, cymbidium orchids,
miniature ivy and baby’s
breath.
The bride's sister*,. Miss
Karon Brown served as maid
of honor. Her other attend-
ants were Mrs. Gary Brown,
sister-in-law of the bride,
from Gatesville; Miss Jamie
Kidwell of Mt. Pleasant and
Draper of
Mrs. James
Worth.

tree with crystal prism hang-

held blue birds. The jeweled
bride's book was designed by
the bride’s mother.
Mrs. Brown wore for her
daughter's wedding a floor
length light blue dress with
fitted bodice, rounded neck-
line. Tlie full sheer sleeves
were caught at the wrist by
jeweled cuffs.
Mrs. Clinton chose a pink
floor length sheath with long
sleeves. Over this she wore
a sleeveless pink embroidered
coat. Both mothers wore
white orchid corsages.

The groom’s table was cov-
ered with a blue oatln floor
length cloth bordered at the
hemline with gold braid. On
this table were the gold cof-
fee service and the double
ring chocolate cake and nuts.
All appointments were In
gold. A wrought iron candel-
abrum holding blue candles
and an arrangement of flow-
ers and. fruit completed the
lovely setting. Presiding at
this table were the Misses
Susan Zachry and Connie
Copeland.
Rice bags were distributed
by Miss Beverly Johnson
from a table laid identical to
the bride’s holding the unity
candle from the ceremony
and the bridal book. The bags
were of light blue tulle filjed
with navy rice and tied with
blue ribbon.
Miss Rebekah Russell pro-
vided piano music during the
reception.
For her traveling to Hot
Springs the new Mrs. Clinton
chose a black and white tweed
suit, black accessories and the
orchid from her bouquet.
Mr. and Mrs. Clinton will
be at home to their friends
in Lewisville, Texas.

REHEARSAL DINNER
Mrs. W. C. Clinton honored
her son, Jon, and his bride-
elect, Miss Kathy Brown, with
a rehearsal dinner Friday ev-
ening at the Sands.
Guests were seated, at a U-
shaped table. The honorees,
the hostess and the bride-
elect s parents were seated at
the head table. The tables
were beautiful in Christmas
colors laid with red cloths
and red votives centered the
tables with streamers of green
satin ribbons and smilax. The
center arrangement for the
head table was a candelabrum
with red votives and swags of
ribbon and smilax.

pr^changed vows Saturday, Jan-
uary’ .1 at seven thirty o’clock
in the evening in the sanctu-
ary of the First Baptist
1 Church, Mt. Pleasant. The
bride’s brother, the Rev. Gary
Ik Brown, assistant minister of
I r the First Baptist Church of
L Gatesville, was the officiating
minister for the double ring
I ceremony.
The young couple exchang-
I ed vows before an altar that
held a double curved thirty
I branch candelabrum and
polished jade foliage fern
trees that were placed behind
the choir rail. In front of the
choir rail gold candelabra
were swirled in Hogarth lines.
The lectern was covered with
a panel of live greenery with
tall white antique cherubs
'*• filled with tall ferns at the
base. Gold tree candelabra
and the panel niches were
filled with crystal votives and
garlanded with smilax.
The family pews were
marked with crystal votive
lites decorated with fern
fronds and white satin bows.
The table in front of the
lectern held the unity candle
and two tapers which were
lighted at the end of the cere-
mony by the bridal couple to
symbolize the uniting of two
bodices,
small bunches of
breath and they carried
stemmed white rose.
Bennie Davis of Dallas was
the groom’s best man. Serv-
ing as groomsmen were David
Carr. Como; Phillip Forgey,
Commerce and James Draper
of Ft. Worth. Seating the
guests were Tony Brown of
Sweetwater, cousin of the
bride; Max Countryman and
Rick Hadley both of Dallas
and Charles Haley of Com-
merce.
Mrs Perry Wright played
the wedding music and also
accompanied Mrs. Lee McKel-
lar who sang. "M o r e,"
