widow, Debbie; a son and
daughter; his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Donniece Connelly; a
sister, Sara Ethredge; a
brother, Brent Connelly, all of
Spearman; and grandparents
Mr. and Mrs. Q. D. Autrey. He
was also the grandson of the
late Mr. and Mrs. W. L.
Connelly of Cypress Commun-
ity.

Aunts of this area are Mrs.
Bill Hightower, Mrs Wayne
Zachery and Mrs. Bobby
Shelby, also an uncle, Charles
Autrey of Winnsboro.
Born in Winnsboro, Newsome
and his family decided to
return after living in Lewisville
for some time. Their home lies
on some acreage appradmate-
iy four miles northeast of
Winnsboro near Scroggins.
Newsome and his wife, Janet,
are the parents of five.
However, the youngest two
children, Jennifer, three, and
Tiffany, 12, remain at home.
The eldest three daughters
remain in Dallas where they
work and attend school; Lisa.
IS, work at the El Phoenix
offices while attending Tarant
County Junior College. Karen,
.18, serves at the Wadley Blood
Bank; and Vicki, 21, works for
Macentire Company.

James Newsome, formerly of
Lewisville, has purchased and
is operating the former Stone's
Guff Station The station, now
known as Newsome's Gulf, is
located at the Junction of Spur
<33 and the South Service Road
to Interstate 30, just south of
Mt. Vernon. Newsome began
operation of the business on
. AugustS.
Missions Volunteer Dies In Accident
.Marcus Connelly, Sunday only a few days before had

Russell Pope, pastor of the
Spearman church, said Conn-
elly, 36, was returning with his
brother in law, Steve Thomas,
to Spearman after a visit to the
family farm when the accident
occurred. The driver of the
other automobile was also
killed. Thomas was injured.
Funeral services were held
for Cbnnelly at First Baptist
Church, Spearman, August 8.
Pope said Connelly and his
wife only a few days before the

to Kenya as agricultural
missionaries. They wore to

days a week; 7:00 a.m. until
8:00 pm Monday through
Friday and 7:00 a.m. until 10:00
p.m. each Saturday and
Sunday. The station offers
minor repairs, car washing and
greasing, engine tune-upe and
