First United Methodist Church
was the setting for the double
ring vows. Officiating was the
Rev. Russell McAnally of
Petersburg, formerly of
Lockney.
Nuptial vows were repeated
before the alter flanked with
twin candelabra, covered with
white gladidolas, greenery and
white bridal satin ribbons.
Mrs. Bobby McCormick, or-
ganist, presented muscial sele-
ctions, and Mrs. Fritz Schacht
sang “The Wedding Prayer.”
Presented in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a formal
gown of white bridal satin with

Exchange Vows
an overlay of white silk chiffon,
accented by rows of tucked rib-
bon and lace. A tiera of clus-
tered lace butterflies held the
fingertip veil of French illusion.
The bride carried a white
lace covered Bible. An orchid,
nestled in a cluster of white
roses and showered with white
satin streamers, rested atop the
Bible.
Traditional something old^
new, borrowed and blue included
a white lace handkerchief be-
longing to the bride’s grand-
mother, which was carried in
her Bible; new was a diamond
penant worn by the bride, a
gift from the bridegroom; bor-
rowed was a Bible belonging
to her sister; and blue was
a garter, made by Mrs. M. D.
Arterbum.
A good luck penny from the
year of her birth was given to
the bride by her father and
worn in her shoe.

Weathers, brother of the bride,
Tim Stansell and Larry McCain,
all of Lockney.
RECEPTION AT CHURCH
A reception following the cer-
emony was held in Fellowship
Hall of the church. Registering
guests was Julia Cummings of
Plainview.
The table was covered with a
lace cloth over aqua. The
Miss Marie Cook and Neal
Davis were married at 8 p.m.
Thursday, July 31 at First
Baptist Church with Rev. Robert
Beck performing the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cook, Cee
Vee. Parents of the groom are
Mr. and Mrs. Sid Davis of
Santa Rosa, N. M. He is a
PHS graduate.
