The Dragonettes obtained an
11-7 lead the first quarter and
never relinquished it. They in-
creased their lead to 30-18 by
half-time. The second half was
no different for the PHS lassies
as they again outscored the
Hornets. The final was 53-39.
Ronda Matney was high point
for the Dragonettes with 24
points. Dorothy Harrison also
had 20. This win leaves the
Dragonettes with a 10-2 record
for the season. They played

The Dragons managed to de-
feat the Hornets after trailing
them the first three quarters.
The Dragons trailed the Hor-
nets 10-4 by the end of the
first quarter. Slowly but surely
they made their rally to finally
overcome and defeat the Hor-
nets. The teams both scored
18 points the second quarter
and they still trailed at half-
time 22-28. The Dragons began
to come alive the second half
with their big surge coming in
the fourth quarter. The Dragons
scored 19 compared to 10 for
the Hornets the fourth quarter.
The game ended with the
Dragons winning 57-50. Danny
James was high scorer for the
Dragons with 16, followed by
Gene Whitener with 14.
