FFA Sweetheart Contest.
The FFA Club is the
largest on the A&M Campus
with over 1000 members.
She was nominated as one of
the top 12. On Tuesday,
October 24, she was elected
as first place winner.
Misti is also still title
holder of the State FFA
Sweetheart.
She is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Hugh Pruett of

unit endorsed Mr. Hall as
candidate for state legisla
ture and named him a life
member of the Denton
County TSTA unit in
recognition and appreciation
of his many years of service
in the education of Texas
students.

Watts has been elected again to the position she held last year with Miss Julie Haisler as her

The Denton County Unit
of Texas State Teachers
Association met recently in
the hospitality suite of the
Denton Teacher’s Credit
Union building with Elaine
Clary, president, presiding.
Members were present
from Argyle, Little Elm.
Sanger. Lake Dallas, Roan
oke. Pilot Point. and
Northwest school districts
and from North Texas State
University. The following
delegates to the TSTA
District Convention to be

November 9 and 10 were

Monschke of Krum
announce the birth of a son,
born October 20, at Flow
Hospital. The grandparents
are Mr. and Mrs. J. L.
Forsythe and Mrs. Ruth
Monschke. all of Krum.

daughter, Misti Dawn, had
lunch in Dallas Tuesday with
Dr. Pruett, prior to Misti’s
leaving to go back to A&M
University.

Day" Sunday, October 22nd.
A covered dish luncheon was
served after services,
large crowd attended

held October 23rd at 6:30
p.m. at the "Round Up Inn"
at the Fort Worth show
grounds.

Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Meine
were allowed to visit their
grandson, Michael, for the
first time since he was
burned on September 24th.
The lad is doing very well.
The doctors have told his
parents that he would not be
able to attend school
anymore until next year.
The Keller football team
dedicated the football season
to him, and so far, have been
Mrs. Phyllis Rogers,
secretary of the Krum
Schools, resigned to take a
position with the Texas
Educational Agency in
Denton. At this time no one
has been hired as secretary
of the school.

represented at Birdville,
October 23rd at Teachers
Work Day. It was formerly
called Small School Associa
tion, but is now called
Community Schools.
Dr. Rodney Short of TWU
was the special speaker. All
teachers said that he gave a
very informative speech.

Mr. Erickson, formerly of
Krum, visited friends in
Krum, but has now returned
to his home in Arizona.

the birth of a son, born
October 17 th at Flow
Hospital.

play ball, he was a member
of the Keller Marching
