Wedding Anniversary Sun-
day with a reception from 3 to
5 p.m. in the dining room of
Frazier's Restaurant.
Hosting the celebration will
be their children and grand-
children, Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Myers, Stephen and Jeffrey
of El Paso, Mr. and Mrs.
Gary Myers, Byron and Dale
of Midland, and Mr. and Mrs.
David Baum, Cindy and Tim
of Odessa.

Mr. Myers was born March
8,1903, in Morgan and moved
to Aspermont in 1916. Mrs.
Myers, the former Lola Reed,
was born Dec. 2, 1905, in
Breckenridge and moved to
Aspermont with her parents
in 1913 from Abilene.
The couple met in Asper-
mont where they both at-
tended school. They were
married July 27, 1924, in
Aspermont.
Mr. Myers was employed
by the North Plains Cotton
Storage of Tulia, and the
Guitar Compresses, Inc., of
Abilene for the past 25 years,
retiring last year.
The couple has lived in
Stamford, Tulia arid Munday.
Mr. Myers' hobbies are
fishing, hunting and gar-
dening. Mrs. Myers" interests
are antiques and arts and
crafts. She is a member of the
Phoenix Club. They are
members of the First United
Methodist Church.
Local Youth
Attend Camp
Jeff Martin, Alana Fincher,
Ruthie Petterson, Kristi
McAnally, Will Selter and
Walter Calhoun are attending
elementary camp this week
at But man Methodist Camp
near Merkel. The camp
began Monday and will
conclude today (Thursday).
The Rev. Elmer Ward,
pastor of the First United
Methodist Church, is the
camp director. Counselors
from Aspermont are two of
his daughters and his son-in-
law, Pat Downing and Mr.
and Mrs. George Abemathy.
Mrs. Downing and Mrs.
Abernathy are in charge of
music. Abernathy is in
charge of recreation.
Hikes, capers, group ac-
tivities and study time took
place in cabin family groups.
Activities included swim-
ming. arts and crafts, a talent
show and a stunt night.
Morning vespers and evening
watch were included in each
day's programs.

Reunion Sunday
The descendants of the late
James Ancil and Zillah Jane
Gilbert Bearden held their
family reunion in the Kent
County Community Center at
Jayton Sunday. Mr. and Mrs.
Wesley M. Bobbins of Anson
hosted the reunion.
Officers elected to serve for
the 197$ reunion were
president, Ray Bear den of
Tokio; vice president,
Bobbins; secretarty-
treasure, T. J. Beard en of
Plains. The third weekend in
July was selected as the
definite date for the 1975
reunion.
Special guests at the
reunion were Mr. and Mrs.
Calvin Smith of Mineral
Weiis. Mrs. Smith, ihm former
Grace Gilbert, helped
compile the history of the
various branches of the
Bearden family.
The surviving son and
daughters of Mr. and Mrs.
Bearden are C. A. Bearden of
Lubbock, Mrs. Stella
Robertson of Abernathy,
Mrs. Iva Ligon of Stamford,
Mrs. Jewel Kenady of
Aspermont, and Mrs. Jackie
Scott of Seminole.
Attending the reunion from

C. Kenady Sr., Mr. and Mrs.
George C. Kenady Jr., and
Joe, Kevin Shadle and Mrs.
Lanie McMahon.
