was reviewed by Mrs. Dalton
Davis. The book is the story
of a farm woman's

ASPERMONT HORNETS
Junior High
Football
The Eighth Grade Stingers
hosted the Haskell Warriors
at Hornet Stadium Thursday
night and were defeated 16-
28.
The Warriors scored early
with a 60-yard drive. The
point after failed. In the
second period the Warriors
scored again on another 50-
yard drive. With about three
minutes left David Dicerson
connected with Sesario
Salazar on a sixty-yard pass
play. The point after failed.
The Stingers received the
second half kickoff. The
Stingers put a drive together
and marched 70 yards but
fumbled on the half-foot line.
The Warriors scored twice
more. The Stingers put a 60-
yard drive together. A 10-
yard pass from David
Dickerson to Jackie Bingham
for a touchdown. The extra
point was good on a reverse to
Seaario Salazer. The whole
team has improved greatly.
The Stingers are on the
road next week. They will
travel to Paducah, Thursday
of next week. Everyone come
and see us play.
Hie Seventh Grade played
the Haskell Warriors
Thursday night and came out
on top, 8-6.
Luis Salazar took the
kickoff all the way for the
touchdown. Alvin Johnson
ran in the extra points try to
make the score 8-0. Hie
Warriors then made a touch-
down but the extra point
failed. The final score was 8-
6. There was good attendance
at the game. The Stingers will
travel to Paducah, Thursday.
Attend Fair
Dwayne Pittcock and Steve
Yar bo rough, members of the
Aspermont FFA, exhibited
lambs at the State Fair of
Texas in Dallas last week.
Steve Yarborough had a
third place Southdown lamb
and a 15th place Dorset lamb.
