comfort -
condition
your home...
Times have changed and new methods are now
available to make your home more comfortable
than ever before. Here are four areas that are
now getting top priority by smart homeowners
and builders:
insulate
Proper insulation makes your home warmer in
cold weather, and cooler in hot weather. This
reduces original equipment costs and monthly
utility charges, saving you money two ways,
air cleaners
New electronic air cleaners are now available
that cleanse air of dirt, dust, lint, smoke, pollen
and bacteria. Asthma and allergy sufferers have
led the way to growing popularity of electronic
air cleaning equipment
temperature
contros
The shift is on to automatic systems for heating
and air. conditioning with thermostats to pro-
vide precise control The preferred systems now
are, those that provide cleanliness and operate
efficiently.
humidity
controls
Personal comfort is almost as dependent on
humidity as on temperature Smart homeowners
are installing humidifiers and de-humidifiers to
assure year-round comfort
• Each of these four areas deserves special atten-
tion Each can help you comfort condition
your home electrically

To the People of Sanger:
Just to say thank you seems
so little after all the nice things
that were said and done for us
during our bereavement. Your
kindness has made our grief
so much easier to bear.
Thank you for the scholarship
donations and the books that
were donated to the Library.
These gifts would have made
David as happy as they do us.
So for David and the entire
Johnson family we say thank
you. And to Brother West, who
was there when we needed spiri-
tual help so badly, “Thank You.”
And to each of you too numerous
to mention, thank you for your
prayers. They help to comfort
us.

my attention was Harry Emer-

sonality”. He tells of the great
pastor of Old South Church In
Boston, Geroge A. Gordon, who
came to America from Scotland
with the admonition of his Scotch
father ringing in his ears. “You
have less than average ability.'*
He worked in a foundry, roomed
over a saloon. Finally be had
funds to enter Harvard where
he graduated as one of its best
scholars. Dr. Fosdick says,
“His existence was what he
found; his life was what he
created. Often the best friend
a man has is not comfort, but
the challenge of antagonistic

A new addition to our 1 exas
collection in the library Is Roy
Bedichek’s “Adventures with
a Texas Naturalist”. It was
given in memory of Sam Rec-
tor by Mr. and Mrs. Paxton
Gray.
Roy Bedichek was Interested
in the world around him and
was a vigilant observer. Every-
where he found a magic in na-
ture, in the fundamental tacts
of plants, in the flow of song
from a bird’s tiny throat, in
the sudden appearance of wild-
flowers amid the rubble of bomb-
blasted London, and in the tre-
mendous strength of trees. This
book depicts our own heritage
and his love of nature makes
one realize the glorious adven-
ture of being alive. Roy Bedi-
chek dedicated his book thusly,
“To my father, a gentle philoso-
pher, who, by both precept and
example taught me, a Little FQRT WORTH
savage, to love animals.” ’ enc
If you love Texas and its MAN 5PEAKj
fauna and flora read this book
by a Texan about Texas and its
majestic heritage.
There are many inspirational
books in our library and this
week I have selected “Getting
the Most Out of Life’’ as the
one I want to tell vou about.
It is a selection oi the most
personally helpful articles pub-
lished in the Reader’s Digest
during the past 25 years. The
first story is written about A.J.
