She spent a day or two with a

Dollie Glover said she also

She went to the Senior Citizens

All kinds of birthdays this
week: Mrs. Dyson celebrated
her birthday last Friday,
August 3rd,* and is still
receiving birthday greetings.
At last count it was something
like 35 cards. Mrs. Dyson is
having quite a time writing
back to all her well wishers.
Wednesday the 8th was a
double birthday for Georgia
Neal and Bertha Tippie.
Happy birthday Georgia and
many many more. Bertha had
a special birthday treat
because she was able to return
here from the hospital that
very afternoon. Another
surprise was a cake, card and
song from the nurses at the
hospital. All in all it was a
very good birthday, wasn’t it
Bertha?
Others who have, returned
from the hospital are Ed Hail,
Ella Greenwood, and Charlie
Pogue. So glad to.have you all
back in the nest. Ora Jones
had to go in for a day or two.
We are delighted she didn't
have to stay long. Charlie

DEAR READER By
hard water, most people mean
water that contains lime, it's
the lime deposits that you see-
on utensils and bowls that
contain standing water
The lime.doesn't have any
real medical significance It's
interesting to note that there
are a number of research
studies that suggest individu-

less likely to have heart and
circulatory problems than i
those who drink soft water.
This issue is debated and
some theories have been
offered as to why soft water,
at Idast in our modern plumb-
ing, isn't necessarily the best
choice
1 jnust say though thui if---
you have distilled water

through the plumbing or other
sources, there isn't much of a

many instances it s absolutely
necessary to see a skin prob-

You may just have very dry

cause similar problems and
there are untold opportunities
for chemical irritation these
