SPECIAL PURIM MESSAGE
TO RABBIS. PRINCIPALS,
TEACHERS AND PARENTS
Greetings and Blessings.
In connection with the
approaching Purim festival, we
are directed by the Lubavitcher
Rabbi, Shlita to call your kind
attention to the fact that there is
a widespread misconception on
the part of Jewish children and
teenagers regarding the Mitzvos
of Mishloach Monos (sending
food-gifts to friends) and
Mattonos loEvyonim (donations
to the poor), namely, that they
have no personal obligation to
fulfill them, in the belief that
they are included in the
performance of these Mitzvos by
their parents
Rabbis, Principals, Teachers

AUSTRIAN JEWS SEEK
Arthur Steinberg is President of REPARATIONS
Mary Lechenger Chapter. TEL AVIV, (JTA) - The
Association of Austrian Jews in
Israel has renewed its demands
for reparations from Austria
along the lines of those received
by German Jews for their
material losses under the Nazis.
The Association accused Dr.
Nahum Goldmann, president of
the World Jewish Congress, of
neglecting Austrian-J ewish
claims. Dr. Goldmann, in the
early 1950s, was instrumental in
initiating the negotiations with
the government of the late
Chancellor Konrad Adenauer
that led to the Bonn-Israel
reparations agreement in 1952.
J. Sheinbaum, representing
the Austrian Jews in Israel,
proposed a three-party meeting
between the Austrian and West
German governments and
representative bodies of Austria
