the Holy Spirit was revived

the truth of justice, even to
the shedding of their blood.”

The Seminar will be held
in the Continuing Education
Center on the St. Mary’s
campus. The dates: Tues-
days, Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28.
The cost: there is a
registration fee of $20 which
covers everything. Each talk
will last for about an hour
and questions from the
audience will be entertained.
A further opportunity to
become acquainted with the
speakers and the staff at St.
Mary’s will be offered at the
luncheons which follow each
talk. The meetings will be
called to order at 10:30 a.m.
and the luncheons will be
over by 1:00 p.m.
St. Mary’s is going to hold
a Seminar which will
present easily understand-
able guidelines to the
myriad aspects of estate
planning.
There are many women
who now or in the future will
have to rely on their own
efforts and knowledge to
conserve their property.
Most of them are ill-pre-
pared to face this situation
simply because of a lack of
experience in financial ma-
nagement.
The speakers ... all with a
wealth of expertise in their
particular fields ... will
discuss investments, estate
planning, trusts, and the
need for a will. Everyone
will be given basic informa-
tion about the distinction
between different kinds of
investments and how the
securities markets may be
expected to react to various
situations and stimuli. How
to plan your estates so that
it goes to those you want to
have it at the least possible
cost in administration ex-
penses and taxes. Would a
trust fit your circumstances,
and should it be revocable or
irrevocable? Finally the
necessity of making a will
and reviewing it regularly
will be emphasized.

A prizewinning film made
in Kuwait is the first entry
in Hemisfilm ’76, San
Antonio’s bicentennial festi-
val of international films
scheduled Feb. 9, 10 and 11
at St. Mary’s University.
France, Spain, China and
Britain also have stated
their intention of sending
films to the festival, but
have not yet specified their
entries, said the Rev. Louis
Reile, S.M., founder of
Hemisfilm and director of
fine arts at St. Mary’s.
The film from Kuwait is
the first feature film Kuwait
has produced. Titled “Bas
Ya Bahar” (“The Cruel
Sea”), the film is a dramatic
account of the pearl-diving
industry in the Persian Gulf
before the discovery of oil
changed Kuwait’s economy.
On November 4,1975 each
registered voter will be able
to go to the polls to
determine the constitution
that will govern our state.
One will decide whether
the proposed 1976 constitu-
tion will become the
consitution of the State of
Texas, “or whether the state
will continue to be governed
by the consitution of 1876, as
it has been amended,” Mark
White, Secretary of State so
announced. Dr. Bill Crane of
the St. Mary’s Political
Science Department a
supporter of the proposed
consitution, and wishes that
everyone become familiar
with the situation. Dr. Crane
says that you can receive
your very own copy of the
proposed constitution in
either English or Spanish,
free by calling this toll free
number 1-800-292-9677.
Voters will decide on eight
separate amendments,
which, if all are adopted, will
revise the Texas consitution,
except for Article I, the Bill
of Right. Dr. Crane says,
“This is a referendum to see
if Texas will join the 20th
Century!”
The present Texas Con-
stitution was drafted by a
constitutional convention
back in 1875 and has been
amended 220 times since its
adoption in 1876.

were unneccessary because

This new unit is known as
The Marian Guard. It is
basically a program for

tactics. Cadets from this
organization will also be
called upon at special

young, but it is off to a very
good start.

It is only trying to shed
some light on the mysterious

question being “Who are
