Nest building is not for the
weak. According to National
Wild[ife magazine, a cliff
swallow may make some 1,400
trips carrying mud from a creek
to its nest site on the side of a
barn. To do so, the swallow will
burn up the equivalent of more
than half its weight in body fat!

Mrs. J. V. McAdoo, Jewell and Tommy drove to El Paso to
attend the UTEP graduation services, held in the Special
Events Center on Sunday, May 17, 1987.
Mrs. Woodrow (Sandra) Bean II, graduated with honors.
A standing ovation was given to the speaker by both the
graduating class and the audience. Vice President Bush made
a great speech, it was said.
When Sandra returned to her Horizon City home, her daughters
had prepared a surprise party, with lovely refreshments.
Sandra's family is proud of her, for she helped her two daugh-
ters to obtain their degrees, before she went to finish her own
work to get a degree.
Daughter Diane, who graduated the week before at Sul Ross,
will teach at Clint this coming school year.
Congratulations, girls!

Also saw James Sammons' picture. James formerly lived on
a ranch at Allamoore, married a Van Horn ranch girl and
ranched in Montana many years.
Jody Henderson's and Raymond Russell's pictures were also
in the June issue.
Taking a close look at our

can convince us that it is not
natural to strive and strain anc <
worry in order to just live and *

to use our assets to the highest ♦

expect good results, to walk
with ease and comfort along
the path we have chosen,
