Sisterhood has undertaken, consider
how much enjoyment you will derive
from Beth Yeshurun—consider the plea-
sure that will be yours in seeing your
children enjoy the advantages of Beth
Yeshurun—consider Beth Yeshurun as
the Jewish way of life that will be
handed down to posterity.
2. It is the only Jewish broadcast, heard locally, which concerns
itself with the problems, the achievements and the ideals of the new
infant state of Israel, to which we are bound by many ties of affection
and destiny.
3. Ours is the only Jewish broadcast, heard locally, which presents
one of the outstanding Cantors of the Southwest in programs of tradi-
tional Synagogue Music.
4. Ours is the only Jewish broadcast, heard locally, which presents,
from time to time, some of the most inspiring music created in the
new State of Israel, as well as some of the loveliest Yiddish folk songs,
which have become a part of the soul of our people.
5. Ours is the only Jewish broadcast, heard locally, which has pre-
sented, during its more than three years of continuous functioning,
personalities like Dr. Simon Greenberg, Provost of the Jewish Theo-
logical Seminary; and such leaders of the Christian church in our com-
munity, as Bishop A. Frank Smith of the Methodist Church, Bishop
Clinton S. Quin of the Protestant Episcopal Church and Bishop Wendelin
S. Nold of the Catholic Church.

ing, we shall soon cross the threshold
of the new Beth Yeshurun Synagogue.

view the magnificent structure, and the
magnitude of oui' religious home? You
will come away with the feeling that
you not only “belong to Beth Yeshur-
un,” but “Beth Yeshurun belongs to
you.”
This feeling of belonging must come
from our hearts. At the next Sisterhood
luncheon, each member present will be
given the opportunity of realizing how
much Beth Yeshurun means to her. We
promise a most inspiring program and

OUR RELIGIOUS SCHOOL MOVES INTO OUR NEW BUILDING, FEBRUARY 1st
These and many others are the contributions which "The Voice of
Beth Yeshurun" has made to the life of our Jewish community, and
io radio listeners throughout our region of the Southwest, during the
three and a half years that it has been on the air.
If you have not been listening io it regularly, we recommend that
you acquire the habit; and we are sure that you will thank us for the
suggestion. If you have been listening to it, spread the word around to
your friends and neighbors both Jewish and non-Jewish. They will thank
you for it, and you will be giving them an opportunity to learn about
our ancient and noble faith, and to enjoy one of the fine religious
broadcasts available to the people of our great city.

When the Beth Yeshurun Sisterhood
undertook the obligation of equipping
the kitchens in the new building, the
women were not unmindful of their
tremendous responsibility. Ever since
the day when the ladies of Beth Yesh-
urun were asked to raise $30,000, the
estimated cost of this vast project,
bevy of loyal and conscientious Sister-
hood members have been working dai-
ly to devise plans and methods of ap-
proach for reaching this goal. As a re-
sult of frequent meetings and lengthy
conferences, the Sisterhood is proud
to announce that $5,500 has been re-
ceived. We realize that we have only
scratched the surface, but the enthus-
iastic response thus far is most gratify-
ing.
We cannot repeat too often that it
will take the active participation of ev-
ery Sisterhood member to make our
kitchen project a complete success. At
our next luncheon meeting to be held
Tuesday, February 7th, in the South
American Room of the Rice Hotel, a
most impressive program “Beth Yesh-
urun A Dream Come True” will be pre-
sented. Yes, Beth Yeshurun is on the
verge of completion. After almost six
