OUR ADULT CLASSES
AT OUR NEW HOME
___________________The MESSAGE____________________
THE FIRST NINYAN AT THE NEW HOME OF BETH YESHURUN
is proceeding nicely at this point,
much remains to be accomplished.
Too many of our members have
not taken the time to analyze
what our new Temple will mean
to them. To enjoy the use of our
new edifice, each of us must in
good conscience make a contribu-
tion to the building fund. $350,000.00
is needed to complete present com-
mitments without a mortgage. $1,-
250,000.00 is the total and $900,-
000.00 has been collected in pledges
and cash. Many additional pledges
are coming in now. The tempo
needs to be stepped up consider-
ably, however, and it is our belief
that it will be. When each mem-
ber, who has not made a pledge,
is acquainted with the necessity for
our new building, he will do his
part. It is at this time that the in-
terested stockholders of Beth
Yeshurun must acquaint other
members with our need.
Another landmark in the history of
Beth Yeshurun will be passed when our
Institute of Jewish Studies will move
to our new home at Southmore and
Tierwester on Thursday evening, Feb.
2.
We shall be beginning our second se-
mester on that evening, and the fol-
lowing courses will be offered:
Elementary, Intermediate and Ad-
vanced Hebrew at 7:30 p. m.
Modern Jewish History at 8:30 p. m.
All those who have been enrolled in
our classes are urged to continue their
splendid work, and everyone is cordial-
ly invited to join our classes on Febru-
ary 2 in honor of our coming to our
new home.
The faculty of our Hebrew School will
give the instruction in their usual cap-
able and inspiring manner.
These men participated in the first service held at the new home of Beth Yeshurun on Sunday
morning, January 1st. They are shown here enjoying the reception, tendered by Mr. and Mrs. I. S. Deutser
immediately following the service.

religious services, banquets, wed-
dings, dances, organizational func-
tions, theatricals, sporting events
and other affairs too numerous to
mention.
Actually, all of these affairs, in
our own building, are just a matter
of weeks away. While the finishing
touches are being applied to the
building, landscaping is scheduled
to begin soon. Our Building Com-
mittee, feeling that all of this
work will be done soon, has desig-
nated April 16th, a Sunday, as the
day for the formal dedication of
our building.
A program of real interest is
being planned and complete details
will be announced soon. The Dedi-
cation Day will present an all day
program with a banquet as its
highlight.
