OUR CUB SCOUTS
The Beth Yeshurun Cub Scouts had
their regular monthly Pack meeting
Saturday, April 22nd at Beth Yeshurun
in which some 25 new young Beth Yesh
urunites were inducted. This brings our
new total of Cub Scouts to some 60
members.
This is far more than any expecta-
tions we had made, and it has turned
out to be a wonderful success.
Each team was given the floor to
show their achievements for that par-
ticular month. The Den Mothers have
been given complete charge of each
Pack to see to it that the achievements
are varied monthly and that the boys
are kept interested.
The winning team this month was
Den Number One, Troop 247. The Men’s
Club presented them with the Men’s
Club Trophy for outstanding work for
the month of April. The trophy is a-
warded each month; and the Den win-
ning it three times, get their names en-
graved on it. Mrs. Zalmon Lewis is
their Den Mother and Mr. Harry Fol-
loder is Cub-Master.
The following day the entire Pack,
accompanied by a parent met at the
new Griffith Fishing Pool in Hermann
Park for an all day fishing trip. A
grand time was had by all.
