Farmers do not
pollute ground
Dear Editor,
What planet did Robert Walters
come from’’ With hundreds ol
farmers going under, he is worried
about where farm hands should use
the bathroom
Has he ever been to a farm? Does
he think that fanners are the only
creatures in the fields'* Does he
think that rabbits, field mice and
birds have better sanitation habits
than people, or does he want us to
put diapers on them next'* One (arm
hand per l.ixo acres will not pollute
as much as a flock of geese on 10
acres
I have my own answer to what he
is He is just another editorialist
looking for a cause to sensationalize

Board doesn't
appreciate aides
Dear Editor.
I attended the school board
meeting last night, April 23 I got the
impression the school board
members think aides do nothing but
put on little children s coats
This may be true in some schools,
but not in ours Our kindergarten
through grade two aide starts her
day cheeking lunch money and milk
money and ice cream money and be
ing sure thermos bottles are not
leaking and taking care of notes
from mothers, while the teacher
begins her class
During this time, she teaches
many skills necessary to function
during the school day There are
times she is responsible for co-
ordination exercises and games She
helps see that all materials are
ready (papers run off, etc > for all
these teachers Part of her time is
spent checking papers and helping
