Panola College receives
telecommunications grant
The college aims to develop
content for distance-learning
courses in the areas of math.
Cpllege life at Panola
College should improve even
more with its newest use of
technology.
The college recently received
a highly competitive Telecom-
munications Infrastructure Fund
grant for $194,494.
The intended use of the
funding will make distance-
learning studies easier. .
Plans are to create a complete
distance-learning package by
providing online registration,
online grade reporting, online
developmental courses, stream-
ing video and audio for web
pages, and off-campus kiosks
for convenient, public online
■registration.’'

registration may occur at those
